CD54HC4514 - analog or digital?

CD4514 is a decoder rather than a multiplexer. I don't see how an analog decoder should work at all.

As a reasonable comparison, you may want to review CD4512 digital data selector and CD4051 analog multiplexer. You always can use an analog multiplexer for digital signals, but not vice versa.
