i have a alarm controller which is adviced to connect with 12v a.c. 1 A(or better) main transformer. i was looking for everywhere but couldn't find anything. but i find one AC ADAPTOR which is rated:-

input: 230-240v ac 50Hz
output: 24V AC 500mA Max:12VA

can i use this ac adaptor instead?
thanks

No you cannot use 24 volts instead of 12 volts. Anyways, metioning your location may get better replies in relation to the location, where you can find a replacement.
