Hi,

I'm not a Linux expert but I would like to do the following. I recently bought a 4 Gb flash stick. It is possible to install a linux livecd onto the stick and make it bootable. I succeeded in this without problem, but want to go further. The problem is that the filesystem is compressed on the key and changes are not saved.

What I would like is a fully operational linux filesystem. I assume I have to partition the key, without swap partition because this would age the usb key too soon. But that's as far as my Linux knowledge reaches ... How to proceed?

The OS is not important for me, as long as it has a KDE desktop and is able to run the most important softwares.

Your help would be very much appreciated.
