C8051 intelligent battery charger

Hi everyone, i am new to this forum. I am suppose to create an intelligent battery charger for my school project using a micro P board. SILICON LABORATORIES - C8051F120DK SILICON LABORATORIES|C8051F120DK|DEVELOPMENT KIT, 12-BIT, 100TQFP | element14 Singapore. This is the link to it, main objective is to charge 4 kinds of battery using this board and i totally have no knowledge at all. Hope you guys out there could give a little hand and help me out. The C8051F120DK is a nice dev board, I've use them for development quite frequently.

What are the four types of batteries your design will support?

Thanks for the prompt reply. I am doing on NiMH,Alkaline,Lead-Acid and Ni-Iron batteries. Actually i am quite new to programming. Are there any schemetic diagrams and program codes that i could refer to ? :???:
