Dear all,

Does anyone know that which of the C@dence library provide RF attenuator model for simulation? I could not find a suitable one. Since I want to find an attenuator model interpret as a SMA head loss. In the ADS, it provides "Attenuator" in the System-Passive library. Does C@dence provide the similar model?

Thanks

wccheng

There is no such model in Cadence Spectre.

Build attenuator by yourself.

See https://www.rfcafe.com/references/electrical/attenuators.htm

"ahdlLib/attenuator" is not useful for your application.

If you want to build attenuator by Verilog-A, "rfLib/balun" is useful as reference. But this does not include noises.
This model is based on S-parameter's formulation.

Of course, you can describe attenuator using Resistor by Verilog-A.
