I really like this book because I learn a lot from it.The new Art of Electronics (3rd edition) has an excellent chapter on BJT's. There is first an introduction that uses a simplified transistor model (collector current = beta * base current). Later the Ebers-Moll is explained and used for the rest of the chapter.
Here is a review of the book:
Solid State Electronic Devices by Ben G. Streetman and Sanjay K. Banerjee is another good one for understanding basics of solid state devices. What are the best books or web resources to learn about how transistors (BJTs) work, how to analyze them, and how to design using them?
Thanks so much!
