Hi,

Planning to buy an Arduino board.

When i used in 2010 there were only 2 boards, Uno, mega and arduino shields.

Now there are loads. I am totally confused which on to buy.

Some with 8Mhz crystal. some with 16Mhz crystal.

Please suggest me what is best for me ? and where i can buy for cheap. Even if it from e-bay and delivery time is 30 working days i am ok with it.

Uno and Mega still have the most documentation. I would say, if you're just starting up, still pick one of these depending on your application. I do believe Uno is the most widely supported for beginners.

Sainsmart has knock-offs for pretty cheap: http://www.sainsmart.com/arduino/control-boards.html

Even cheaper on eBay, BangGood, DealExtreme. I would stick with ones that have the Atmel MEGA16U2 or the CH340G interface chip. For USB. There are known issues with fake FTDI chips.
