I have a question about the analog gain and digital gain.
For a analog singal , said it's a sine wave, ranges from -1/+1 V.
An analog gain 3 makes the sine wave ranges from -3/+3V.
If the analog signal is digitized with sigma-delta ADC that have 1-bit output.
that means the signal become 010101001101.. (for example).
How to adjust the signal gain in digital form?
Signal gain can be adjusted in the same manner however the digital voltages are generally in the range of 4-5Volts for logic 1 and 0-2 volts for logic 0 supposed for a particular system.
So we use repeaters for Digital Signal Amplification as it is a regenerator and amplifier.
Repeater should be used before the point of maximum attenuation so that it can be used before errors are introduced.
