Dear all,

I am a user of Altium Designer Summer 09.

I have routed a board on 45 degree bands. Now, I want to convert these 45 degree bands into Arcs. I have searched, but unable to find a way out.

(In PCAD 200X) there was a tool named as "Mitor". We used it a lot, to do the same; but in Altium, I am searching for a solution)

Looking forward for your comprehensive responses.

Kind Regards,
Maqbool

Thank you very much Anil,

It helped me a lot.

I found that after running the utility, it is not possible to undo it.

What I am thinking to rewrite a script in VB with some selection/filter (Layer, netclass, bend size) menus for specific operations, in near future.

Hopefully, I will bother you for that also

Thank you again dear.

Regards,
Maqbool

Thank you, but I asked about a board that has been routed on 45 Degrees.

Press SHIFT + SPACEBAR for arc while routing

Why do you want arcs instead of 45 degrees?

I work on Xilinx Load/Test Boards. These are boards with high speed interfaces.

Also there are some test Platforms : Teradyne J750, Credence Sapphire, Teradyne Integra Flex, Agilent V93K etc

A 90 Degree or 45 Degree Band increases the width of Track at point of Band for a very short period. It increases the reflection and signal rise time. It behaves like a capacitive load with the transmission line. Round corner maintains the width of the track and is good for the health of high speed signals.

Regards,
Maqbool
