Hi,

Can anyone tell me the advantages of AXI over AHB? People say AXI is advanced compared to AHB. But I did not anything explicit in the standard.

AXI is mush faster than AHB, due to full-dulplex architecture (independent read and write channels, also independent address channels), and some other features. AXI usually operates at higher clock frequency than AHB. Refer to specs from ARM site for detail.

Due to address/data pipelining AHB will be as fast as AXI. But AXI operating at a higher clock rate seems to be the only valid point.
