8051 used for newer designs..?

Hi all..

I'm talking in general about the industry..

Are 8051's being used for the newer designs.. within the industry..?

Because.. now a days.. Many Companies are designing newer products based on 8051..

When we see maxim , Philips and SI labs etc.. with their newer products..
e.g. DS89C420 , DS5000 and others..

Me... I wont use 8051. Its old.
