Hello Guys,

Let me first apologize if this is in the wrong section, but I need to implement a 4-bit adder on a transistor level circuit and implement a layout representation of it as part of a project. I've been doing some reading and the Manchester Carry Chain adder looked a good prospect as a result of the lower number of transistors required for it. The factors that I need to keep in mind while implementing a 4-bit adder is the area, power consumption, worst case delay. Is the MCC a good option or is there a better alternative for this ? I'll be implementing it using Cadence so I'd appreciate any help with this.
