Hi,

Maybe this is simple question to you all. I just want to ask, how to measure frequency signal for CDR ? Can I just using RF spectrum analyzer? or do I need to use network analyzer? because in my university, there is no network analyzer.

Thanks in advance

What is CDR? Recordable compact disc? Clock and data recovery?

A spectrum analyzer can measure frequency. Or how about using an ordinary frequency counter?

A network analyzer usually doesn't measure frequency. It generates its own test signal, so it already knows the frequency.

CDR is clock data recovery. So, I can simply using RF spectrum analyzer to measure frequency?

Freq of CDR can be measured with RF spectrum analyzer or digital frequncy meter..

do u want to see eye patern?
