Dear all,

I am designing a Pulsed PA and would like to know, should i use electrolytic capacitor or tantalum capacitor at the drain to cop with drain current during 1us pulse.

look forward to your help and support.

regards,
Malik

You also need to decouple at your RF frequency (not given), for this you will need a low inductance film type in parallel.
Frank

Dear Frank,

frequency of operation is 9 to 10GHz and i have included 0.8pF and 100nF capacitors close to the pins of the device and then included 1 x 22uF electrolytic with ESR of 2 Ohm and 2 x 22uF tantalums with ESR of 0.8 Ohms. .
