Hi folks

Anyone has the complete steps of how to install Synopsys DC, PT and Physical Compiler to your linux ? .. I have successfully installed Cadence SoC Encounter platform and I got the information from Cadence website .. for Synopsys, the process is quite complicated and not everything is mentioned ..

Anyone has installed these tools before or knows how to be installed can give a hand ?

I really find it strange to receive such a reply !! .. thanks anyhow .. but indeed I have gone through all that .. I would appreciate if someone has gone thru the process to help me in ..


Please for those who has such replies (google it .. look in the help .. open the documentation .. contact Synopsys application engineer) do not comment on this topic ..

To install synopsys tools, you need installer. this is package comes with synopsys tools, you can download this from solvnet or you can contact synopsys.
The source directory should contain products.taz files, and during installation go to installer directory invoke installer using
$ ./installer -gui
then follow the steps.
For installing you need valid site ID which is provided by synopsys when you buy license.

Great Satyakumar .. thanks indeed
Now .. can I install online ? or do I need to have everything downloaded to my local PC first ?
Are there any needed configuration scripts other than (installer) from Synopsys website ? .. I do have both ID and valid license ..

You need to download before installation. There is no script other than installer.
