Hello,

I am using Altium at work, and when at work i get into Altium by signing in with my username and password.

At home, i have installed the Altium compact disc, and it lets me sign in, bit it gives a red message saying "You are not using a valid license".

I cannot understand this because i am using the same username and password that i use at work.

There is some information on the Altium "My Account" page which talks about using a "standalone license."

However, i cannot seem to get started with this.

Does any reader know where to go from here........do i need a "standalone license file ".....and if so, then how do i get one?

....is the "standalone license file " to be found on my computer at work?

You would have to have a standalone license for it even though your work as got a license for it and you enter a user name and password this is just version control so they can see who has done what

You could always look for a patcher on google for it otherwise you would have to buy one and it is not cheap
