    RL circuit differential equation

Have been given a few practice questions to work on but have no idea where to start, im quite confident i Can do the main maths behind it eg general and complimentary solution but I'm struggling to get from this start to that point! Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks Find the current...

    Basic Op Amp analysis

hi all have a standard inverting op amp where R1=10k, R2=10k Vin=1Volt and i have been told to find the output voltage for this Op Amp and state any basic assumptions i make. Any idea where i need to start? any help would be appreciated thanks

    Matlab strings identify numbers

Basic Matlab question i just cant get my head around, have been asked to write a program that will read a mixed string containing letters and numbers from my keyboard. i must then count the amount of numbers that are present in the string, could anyone point me in the right direction?? thanks!

    basic signal question

doing experiment in the lab at school using harmonic synthesiser, oscilloscope and Vrms voltmeter to create different types of waves. one part involved entering a loudspeaker into the circuit and turning it on and off to see the effect it had on the waveform on the oscilloscope screen. i noticed...

    Proteus 7 encoder and decoder

Have drawn an encoder and decoder layout using proteus 7 isis but for the designs to be able to be turned into pcb they have to be moved to ares! any ideas how to start this process?

    simple diode full wave rectification!

''As the current flowing through the load is unidirectional, so the voltage developed across the load is also unidirectional therefore the average DC voltage across the load is 0.637Vmax. However in reality, during each half cycle the current flows through two diodes instead of just one so the...

    simple diode full wave rectification!

Just a simple question, for a 4 diode bridge full wave rectification circuit with input of 12Vac supply i have measured voltage on scope to be 19.2V, when voltage measured across load was taken it measured 12.2volts on my DC multimeter! now i know that the meter is reading the average voltage...

    proteus ares and isis

anyone know where i can get proteus 7 online free TO DOWNLOAD? have a coursework involving moving a design from ares to isis so as long as package contains them thats great. if not, how much would i be looking to pay for it?

    increasing capacitance! basics

have an ac supply a diode and a load resistor in series. After placing capacitors of varying values across it i found that with increasing capacitance the amplitude of the waveform on the oscilloscope decreased showing a smoothing effect! can anyone explain to me why this happens?

half wave rectification circuit with diode and load resistor

yeah the next section of the experiment was to use a capacitor in parallel which ive completed. Thanks for all the help, i was completely lost before reading all the posts, it has really helped my understanding.

half wave rectification circuit with diode and load resistor

I have a circuit with a 12V AC supply adapter frequency of 50Hz, one diode and a 100K Load Resistor all in series. i have set the multimeter to DC like instructed and i have measured the voltage across the load resistor to be 5.8 Volts but i'm rusty on the theory as to why i have gained this...

Simple Diode Circuit for half wave rectification

with the sheets i was following i wasnt asked to, it said measure across RL and comment on the reading obtained. have changed the post above, Would measuring with a multimeter set to DC provide a reasonable conclusion or is it still not making sense, then no problem and thank you for replying!

Simple Diode Circuit for half wave rectification

I have a circuit with a 12V AC supply adapter frequency of 50Hz, one diode and a 100K Load Resistor all in series. i have measured the voltage with a multimeter set to DC across the load resistor to be 5.8 Volts but i'm rusty on the theory as to why i have gained this value. As the supply is 12V...

    Basic Electronics help needed!

thats great thanks. Just a final part to that, why is the wave showing a peak amplitude of 20V and a RMS value of 14.85 when the supply from the wall is a 12 volt adapter? or is that a potential mistake on my part in reading data etc!
