Hi,
Is anyone know how is the salary for RF Hardware Design Engineer in Malaysia
for fresh graduate, engineers with 3 years experience , or RF experts?
Hi,
Usually when designing Rf and Microwave oscillator, negative resistance is used.
I want to know is it possible to design a low frequency oscillator eg. 1MHz using negative resistance topology?
The distance of signal transmission depends on your operating frequency, environment and transmit power.
In your case, you can increase the transmit power by adding power amplifier before the antenna.
Cheers,

Hi all,
I am going to graduate in few months time, and intend to specialize in RF design.
I heard that it is better to start with RFIC design, then only proceed to RF system/transceiver design.
I know there are Mini Circuits, Avago & Motorola doing RFIC design in Malaysia.
For RF system...
Hi all,
I have interests in engineering and I like all of them and I am going to graduate in few months time. But, I am really confused in which field should I specialize in.
RF Electronics
PLC Electronics
Networking
Programming
Please help?
Anyone went through this dilemma as well?
Hi,
I am building a UV exposure box here. Need some help here.
I found out that there are three types of UV tube available in the market.
1)Black light which is used to check notes(dollar) and used for clubbing. It is in black color when off.
2)This one is used to attract flies, look like...
Hi guys,
I have homebrew a circuit that works currently.
However, my friend just helped me spray the Selleys RP7 on it to prevent the copper on the circuit from rust.
I would like to confirm, because I am a little worried here.
Is it safe? and will it really work?
It seems that SMA and Type-B have equivalent performance rating.
What is the advantage of SMA that makes it more widely used in newer spectrum analyzer?
Hi all,
I am building a PC-based spectrum analyzer here.
I did a small study on Agilent spectrum analyzer.
It uses Type-N female as RF input, BNC female as trigger input, and SMA female as antenna input.
Is it the standard how industries do? or it is just Agilent ways?
What type of connector...
Want to confirm my understanding.
To simulate the SMA connectors with wires, you use one signal wires and two ground wires.
Can I twist them together to make them really close to each other?
I am confused with your 2 ground planes. What do you mean by that? If I am using microstrip , I will...
Hi all,
FYI, the chip used is PIC18F4550.
The compiler used is C18 Compiler.
I am using a udata variable for example:
#pragma udata LARGE_MEMORY
unsigned char INPacket[512];
#pragma udata
unsigned char *table_ptr=&INPacket[0];
int a;
then, in the main function, i initialize it ...
Hi, your post is really helpful. Thanks.
Besides that, how you usually test a SMT chip/IC?
Do you use breakout board? or straightaway solder it onto the whole circuit?
For my case, I lack of toolkits for desoldering SMT chips.
