Hi,
Can somebody tell me how to properly design a startup resistor value for a UC3845 IC.
My objective is to test the IC oscillator section with 24V supply input.
I just connected the Vcc pin to 24V power supply through a 6kOhm 1/2W resistor. The IC isnt starting and the Vcc Pin is showing...
Thank you chuckey,
I would like to make the question little more clear..
Its basically the difference between Dielectric Test & Impulse Test impact on material.
Impulse test means short duration ( in my understanding ) so whether a dielectric would withstand higher voltage levels for that if...
Hi,
I need to investigate if a flyback transformer is suitable for an application.
Product requires to pass EN 60255-5 dieletric tests of 2kV /50Hz and impulse tests of ±5kV 5 positives & 5 negatives 1,2/50µs.
So does this mean the transformer selected must have an isolation of atleast...
Thank you very much for the reply
I've a doubt regarding that section.
what i had in mind was that i will wind a copper tape without any insulation over the insulated teflon wire as shown below( brown color) now shall i short its two end together and connect it to the BNC shield to which one...
Dear Experts,
I want to design a HF current probe,
Aim : Is to relatively measure the cable current radiation to estimate if my fix on PCB ,is working or not.(For pre compliance testing purposes)
Materials I have : Wurth Toroid Core 74270097 ,Teflon Wire, BNC connector
Equipment i have : An...
Hi ,
Can some one please tell me the why in the data sheet of an opto coupler MOCD207M from fairchild shows two break down voltage values for collector-emitter junction and what could it mean?

Hi,
I've seen many products in industrial environment using shielded RJ45 cables for communications such as Ethernet/CAN etc.
can anyone tell me the precise reasons for using shield earth in the same?Does the following has any thing to do with it?
1) protection against surge/EFT for data...
So i need to find out how many poles in the transfer function of the above said filter..Any method to derive the transfer function of such a long filter..
Hi,
I was reading across some filter documents online here (**broken link removed**)
it was mentioning about an 8th order elliptical filter like shown below.. my basic question is how it said like the filter is 8th order..is it the number of reactive components? then shouldnt it be 11 ...
If u are not looking for a discreet implementation ,what about using a DDS IC from analog devices..AD9850 like that..u can control the frequency using a micro controller..
Does anyone know reasons for a SMD ceramic chip capacitor (MLCC) to go open or to go shorted?
i.e for example will overvoltage stress will cause short or open?
Hi,
Im studying an industrial circuit. This is operating on 24V supply/200mA rated..and DIN rail mounted..
The system has got Two grounds ..one is digital ground other is shield ground..
There is a Capacitor X1Y2 type between these grounds...
I know if in an AC system..if the Y cap (i.e one...
Hi,
I'm trying to analyze the voltage parameter for a SMD resistor..
I need some advice from electronics experts..
Part number is RK73H1ETTP22R0F
Description :- RES THK FLM 0402 22ohm 1% 100ppm 0.063W (datasheet attached)
This part is rated for 50V.. ( it is specified for a resistance range...
Hi,
Im working with a buck converter design..The part is LT3508..running at 700kHz ...it has two regulators in a single package with integrated switch for each.
It has a boost pin which is connected to the output voltage node and this is done to drive the internal NPN switch to saturation and...
