Pure CMOS bandgap reference voltage circuit

Hi wjx197733, in order to operate the MOS in subthreshold, the aspect ratio has to be large, which will occupy a large area. it is depends on how you choose ur VGS, of course VGS must be less than VTH.

Pure CMOS bandgap reference voltage circuit

This is a good idea. But do we need to model it before it can be used for simulation? in my process that i m using now, i can't find such model in my library.

Pure CMOS bandgap reference voltage circuit

gray meyer cmos bandgap U can realize a purely CMOS bandgap reference by using MOSFET working in subthreshold region, which having similar characteristic as BJT. The drawback is that a bigger area is needed as compared to bandgap realize in BJT. Besides than above mentioned method, in fact u...

How this bandgap works? [from IEEE paper]

hi mike_bihan, u can obtain the final equation by solving the following equation: Vref/R3 + (Vref-VEB)/R2 = IM3

What's the normal value for opamp bias current mirrors

i did read some papers on bandgap circuits. some of the designs are having very low current consumption. for example, current consumption less than 20uA. if that is the case, what kind of actions we need take to make sure the error is small enough when a small current is used?

question of Vth dependence on L

ambreesh, you are right!. analogic & flushrat, you both can refer to a book called "Operation and Modeling of the Mos Transistor " by Yannis Tsividis for more information.

    Frequency compensation for two poles

Frequency Compensation I dun understand why a resistor of 33KOhm is connected at the middle of two capacitors. I think that's the reason why there are so many poles and zeros being created.

What is the typical TC for PTAT?

ptat circuit Normally in TC of PTAT voltage is about 2-mV/K, which is same as TC of BJT (if BJT is used to contruct a bandgap circuit), so that these two component can be cancelled through out the intended temperature range.

Bandgap reference ( output voltage variation)

This bandgap circuit is constructed in voltage mode and the resistor does affect the temp coefficient of the bandgap circuit as it is temperature dependent too. Such problem can be cancelled out if current mode bandgap is used.

AMIS 0.5um process - BJT model

hi guys, recently i m starting to design a bandgap circuit. but the process i m using, AMIS 0.5um, doesn't have BJT models. i did search through MOSIS website but they only provide MOSFET models. Anyone has this BJT (both Lateral and Vertical BJT) models? Thanks in advance!! :)

Can I design 10G VCO using TSMC 0.18um?

I have a fren who is doing the same thing. he is able to meet the spec. therefore i think u can do it too.
