Normally the values in the Result-Browser section tran and the values in ADE->Results->Plot transient signal should be the same. Maybe you can check...

it seems you are using DFII 6.XXX. We also had problems with the simulation environment (some SPICE primitives didn't save currents). The only advice is to install the latest service release.

in former Cadence releases, Spectre was included in the dfII-package. Nowadays Cadence puts all simulators for analog and mixed-signal designs in a separate package called MMSIM.

you probably have the licenses/installation for spectre-rf. in our environment the pss analysis is just there. we are using ic5141 + mmsim61.

Hi,
if you have RTL-code of your HDL you simpy have to synthesize it and import it into cadence DFII. Then you have a cell and a view of e.g. your verilog gate netlist and can instantiate it in another schematic.

we got a pcb-desgin which was generated by Mentors Boardstation as three ascii-files:
- .neu, .geo and .wir
But I found no tool / possibility to import these files. Cadence PCB-SI from the SPB-Package should do this, but I had no success.
Can someone give me a hint...

please start spectre -v or -h in a terminal to get the version number of the used spectre. If it is the MMSIM-version, ADE will also use it. If it is not the MMSIM-version your path settings are not correct.

creating pcell using skill

maybe you first check the cell design tutorial. the corresponding skill procedures can be found in the document sklayoutref.pdf (chapter 2). The files are inside the DFII installation tree.

if I have time next week, I will try the same drc with assura. You simply draw a schematic with two inverters using these 20V devices and then did the layout synthesis using Virtuoso XL. Is this the case?

bugs in calibre in layout

it seams to be a bug in the calibre-drc rule file of the AMS hit-kit. Which version of hit-kit, do you have installed? Maybe an update can solve the problem? Do you have the possibility to use assura drc to test, whether it is an bug in calibre?
