LNA circuit in RFIC- LNA's gain is lower than simulated

LNA 's gain The gain result obtained from post layout simulation is 15dB. hello, fanshuo, your " is invalid. So I can't understand your reply. The LNA's input port is connected to Agilent's signal source , and its ouput port is connected to spectrum analyzer.

VCO's measured frequency is far away from it's simalated one

Re: VCO's measured frequency is far away from it's simalated Thank you,dick_freebird! You give me very useful advice. "Qswitching should be less than 10% of Qdecouple". I can't understand it. I think suply drop and wirebond effects are not the reason because suply drop will cause VCO's...

LNA circuit in RFIC- LNA's gain is lower than simulated

LNA 's gain I have designed a LNA circuit in RFIC with charted RF CMOS 0.18um process. The LNA's measured current and bias voltage agree with its simulated ones. Also, the LNA's input and output port have been matched well with VSWR<2 at 1.55GHz. However, the LNA's gain at 1.55GHz is only...

VCO's measured frequency is far away from it's simalated one

simalated I have designed a dual-band VCO in charted RF 0.18um CMOS 1P6M process. The VCO's measured frequency is lower than the simalated freauency. The differency is 100MHz. This results my PLL circuit can't lock. ps: The VCO 's mid-frequency is 1.2G/1.5G. Also, I have extracted R-C parameter...

Question about fabricating Spiral slot antenna

I have drawn a 4-arm spiral slot antenna in CST. The simulated results are good. So I decided to fabricate one to measure it. However, I can't find a solution to translate the CST file into garbo file which can be accepted by PCB fabricator. Who can help me? Thank you very much!

How to draw antenna's geometry in microsoft Word?

Dear Debeli, sometimes printing screen is a good idea , sometimes it is not . I think it is not fit for writing antenna article which is to be published in journals.

How to draw antenna's geometry in microsoft Word?

Thanks a lot for mogwai's reply! Maybe SmartDraw can do the same job as Visio?

How to draw antenna's geometry in microsoft Word?

ghostwiev To finish an antenna paper, it is necessary to draw geometry of the antenna in the paper. That means, I must insert an antenna's geometry figure in my article. I use CST to simulate antenna, which can export DXF format to Autocad. However, it is not easy to translate CST model...

Wihich software is better for simulating slot spiral antenna

slot spiral antenna I want to desgin an archimidean slot spiral antenna. I use CST to simulate it ,but spend too much time to get a result. Any one konws which software is better to simulate this kind of antenna? Accuray, fast, and easy to use.

How to design antenna to maintain stable phase center?

Antenna Phase Center My task is to resarch on microstrip antenna with stable phase center. It maybe a patch antenna or slot antenna. It seems that symmetrical feeds lead to symmetrical pattern in the horizontal plane ,thus producing stable phase center.

feeding network for dual-band stacked patch antenna

How to design the feeding network for dual-band stacked patch antenna Graph1 is the exploded view of stacked patch antenna’s geometry. Top patch resonates B1 band(1.57GHz), and bottom patch resonates in B2 band(1.24GHz). Graph2 is the configuration of the patch with 4 symmetrical probes. The...

How to calculate the noise figure of active antenna?

Thanks for all your explanation. The power spliiter will introduce at least 3dB NF for each channel. To avoid this, the power splitter is deleted . LNA1 and LNA2 are united since f2 band and f1 band are very close. F1 band and f2 band will be seperated after LNA. So the new block is...

How to calculate the noise figure of active antenna?

I'm sorry for not posting a picture to explain more comprensively. I just can't do it successfully. So I try to describe it in such: The power divider doesn't act as a diplexer. It divides the signal from antenna into two ways, each fed into a LNA. LNA1 and LNA2 work on two different...
