LC_VCO
Hello,
I read somewhere that "single-ended symmetry" improves 1/f noise
rejection for LC VCOs ... but what means "single-ended symmetry" ?
(sorry I'm no good english speaking person)
Thanks,
CTT
Hello,
Is there anybody who already designed a PA that should drive a SAW filter ? Should we provide a particular output impedance to the SAW to
reduce VSWR ?
Lots of design papers says that you should transform the load to the optimum load to have best efficiency. Suppose I have a 50Ohm SAW...
MOS varactors
Hi,
does anybody have simplified analytical expression of MOS varactors ?
I've read many articles about them and the only article I found was one of Thomas Lee's group about accumulation mode, where some analytical expressions were given but no derivation of them what makes it...
Hi,
don't you also have an ESD issue here ? MIM capacitor will handel much more than MOSCAP in a ESD zap. You may get better ESD performances
if you're doing an industrial design.

Hi,
did you use the differential Oscport ? I can't see your picture so I can't
really tell you what's wrong in your schematic. The feedback path is the connection between the differential LC tank circuit and the negative cross coupled Gm that you use. A way to have things work correctly is to...
sunwiss,
multiplication also very noisy because most of its devices
are operating at the same time.
wccheng, you can refer to B. Gilbert's on translinear loop
for multiplication with BJTs.

on-chip balun
Hi,
200 Mhz balun on silicon will probably be very huge. It believe
that using a differential pair would be more area efficient but it will be
also more noisy and much less linear (depending on the allowed current
consumption). Are you planing to do this differential to...
Re: class c
Yes, that is right, the current waveform is
not a sinewave component but if the Q of the
tank is high enough the voltage will be quite
sinusoidal.
Be careful that those reduced conduction angle technique
will introduce distorsion. If your modulation scheme has
a constant envelop...
Hello,
There is a subject that has been annoying me for a while. Switched-mode PA such as class D, E are structures that have theoretically 100% drain efficiency capability. However the output impedance is not matched to the load impedance which seems normal because of the loadline theory that...
Re: class c
Hi,
Class S is usually used for pulse width techniques associated with
a switched-mode output stage (usually class-D like power stages).
You may want to llok carefully to the control signal generation
(non-overlapping, ...) which can be difficult depending on the
operating...
