I soldered the red/white wires to the mike's +/- terminals and the shield to the metalic housing.
A) At the plug end, the (-) and the shield were soldered together going to the common of the preamp. Is this reasonable?
B) Found the shielded plastic-jacketed bipolar cable quite hard to bend...
Went back to the DSO with the circuit still in the protoboard.
No artifacts at all. Here, sweeping period 200 msec but even up to 2 sec period, gave same results.
Regarding my original enquiry I concluded that my circuit should have something wrong.
Gracias again AG
It is evident there are many things I ignore. I knew that!
Could you make a complete abstract with all the conditions to make a sweep test, including all your remarks and eventually what was not told yet?
Hola AG
After a long time trying, I learnt that my DSO has a strange way of changing settings, even if I do not use the autoset mode.
The circuit is assembled in a very cramped perfboard. Maybe there is something wrong that I am not seeing.
This morning I assembled the same circuit in a...
Yes AG.
I should have said R8 the input to the filter. (Had in mind an old version which I used wrongly for reference).
I am using the logarithimic sweep. Have to check the ramp. Doubt there is any logarithmic...

The 2nd input gets a pulse that triggers the scope's...
I have never done this before.
Today I started to test the state variable filter in the attached circuit.
My setup is just a (brand new) function generator sweeping from 30 Hz up to 30 KHz, 1 V pk-pk - 0 offset. Output impedance set to 50 ohms and signal applied to R7 which not yet connected...
I need to create a binary file with values previously calculated in Excel.
The amount of data precludes anything manual.
Can anyone tell what is the straightest way to convert every value in the cell to a byte with possible values ranging from 0 to 255?
Sorry but I forgot all my VB and I am...
Instead of going through a long explanation, please note:
Trying to generalize is not the way. Consider them separately and case by case.
Take the positive first and consider that whatever voltage is mentioned, it is referred to common / ground. That is the basic way to reference voltages...
TRIO scope, model CS-1562A.
I am looking for the Service Manual.
Please note, the User Manual (Instruction Manual), I have it. I don't need links to it. Just the one for servicing.
Thanks
