What's the connection of ADC0808 with 8051?

Can anyone tell me the connection of ADC0808 with 8051 and the clock pin of ADC0808 connected to the 30 Pin of 8051 and no connection of EOC to microcontroller if any plz tell me i only use 2 inputs so i only use one Addres pin of ADC0808 ground other two B and C and also IN2 to IN7 ground is it correct and will work if so tell me I only conect
SC to P3_0
OE to P3_1
A to the P3_4
and pin 30 to the clock of ADC0808
is it correct or not

8051 ale

are you using external prog memory ?
pin 30 t0 clk of adc may be wrong.
use 555 in astable mode it will for fast and truble free operation.
if you ues ale pin for clk it will not constant sourec of clk.

adc0808 pin description ale

ADC0808 has 3 control signals which can be operated by 8051's /RD, /WR and address signals ..
You can use them as per attached example (idea) ..

1. without control pin 22 of ADC0808 (ALE) how do you select analog channel? (Hint : connect ALE (pin 22) to START (pin 6) )
2. without monitoring pin 7 of ADC0808 (EOC) how do you know the conversion is finish? (Hint : use delay to wait EOC)


Be careful, the maximum clock frekquency of ADC0808 is 1280 kHz, it means if you use 8051 ALE for ADC0808 clock then maximum clock frequency for 8051 is 6 x 1280 kHz!
