TEKTRONIX TDS400 er Series repair help needed

tektronix diag fail ++acq

hi - i have a defect TDS 420 - someone can get me some repair help?

At first - most off the time if i powerup the scope - i see nothing on the screen - but i hear the fan and all of the Front-panel LED's are on.

Atr next i maked a cable for the terminal mode of the scope.
(internal com - Port send also messages)
For this i use the downloadable service-manual.
I get the following messages :


Bootrom Header Checksum passed.
Bootrom Total Checksum passed.
BootRom Check Sum passed.
Bus Error Timeout test passed.
Bus Error Write to Bootrom passed.
GPIB Test passed.
Kernel Diagnostics Complete.

i also had have the case that all LEDs - are on, go off - screen was powered up - but i see only a green sreen - with nothing.

If somreone can get me some information /help this would be really needet - i dont know if it is possible to repair.

I also ask me if someone had a downloadable firmware for this device?

any information would be usefull - best regards,

tektronix bootrom tds

Hi!

Have you checked power supply voltages for correct voltage and low ripple? Excess ripple on supply voltages often leads to funny failures.
