quantization of filter coeff

hi,
i have designed fir filter using remez algo..but now i want to quantize them...and then to convert them into binary to use in vhdl program...is there any1 who cn help me ..how to do that..if u have any document then upload it here...

Hello,

I think quantization is a trivial operation, it's basical rounding to the nearest integer after you defined coefficient word length. The problem is in estimating the effect of finite coefficient length respectively truncation error. For this reason, many filter tools have an option to compare intended filter characteristic with realized one. Another important point is to identify possible numerical overflow in filter operation.
