hello everyone...
i need help about how to build RS485 connection between a computer with micro controller ATmega8535.

and I want to know, in C# if I have command serialport.RTSEnable = true, so what's going on??
pin RTS become high logic or low logic??
and if RTS pin has high logic, what the voltage potential on that RTS pin?? positive or negative voltage??

thank you very much

mmmm... you got me in this one... I think RTS goes to Low which is +12V when you enable RTS, and in counterpart, goes to high (-12V) when RTS is disabled... sadly I don't have a Serial port at hand right now to verify...

But make a test! Measure the voltage between RTS and GND and enable disable with a small test program in C#... better to be sure...
