Hi,
That is, we dont want to have coil current flowing all the time.
Does such a device exist?

Hi,

I gues you did not do an internet search "latching relay".
Why not?

Btw: relays are specified mainly by coil voltage, switching current, switching voltage....

Hi,

Such a short description and unclear title... Deserves a 'most vague thread' award, if it exists. ;)

On signal and off signal, only on signal and timed off?

Either above suggestion or maybe search for e.g timed latching relays.

Latching relay. Solenoid operated, toggles to opposite side everytime solenoid energized.

Many of the Alexa remote AC lamp switches use them.
