Need Help regarding my Final year Project:::Wheelchair Controlled by a Trackball

Hello Guys..
I'm doing Wheelchair that is gonna be controlled wirelessly by a trackball as my final year Project.
I'm Supposed to do Simulation, But i don't no anything about that.
Can any one help me???

1. Which simulation i can go with?
2. I'm using a trackball as a wireless remote, So can i go with Micro-controller or PIC for interfacing it with a RF module?

you can go better in realtime testing than simulation. You can check the logic and the program flow in proteus.
I think you are saying 8051 and pic, right?. Any controller you can take.
