Hi,
i want to use an accelerometer in my project basically to measure acceleration of a toy car (mainly to learn more about acceleromters).i want to use an 8051 for this.can anyone please suggest an acc. module that is commonly available, and also the way of interfacing it to a an MC?

thank you.

Which accelerometer are you using?
Are you using the pulse width outputs or the analogue outputs?

i'm planning on using pulse width output module as 8051does not have an ADC.as i requested earlier, please suggest a module to start off with.

Look at the ADXL family of chips from Analogue Devices

I would advise you to try ADXL345. You can use SPI mode which is very easy to use without special hardware on any GPIOs.
If you need the chip or a "ready to go" module with 2,54mm pinout you can check my shop Robodudes .
