restore lilo bootloader

hi all,

i used to install suse8.2 in another patition rather than c drive & set the bootloader to msb. however, i reinstalled winxp some days ago & it overwrote the msb so i cannot log into linux anymore. Could anyone help me how to reinstall the bootloader instead of reinstall suse.

i forgot to make a bootdisk :(

thanks in advance!

use loadlin to boot the linux, then restore lilo:)

Hope it help you !

first,you should boot your linux.

loadlin root=/dev/hdb4(the root patition of your linux)

after that, you can easyly restore your lilo setting by
the fllowing command

lilo -v
