im not sure if this is the right forum to post this but i really need an answer so here goes.

i have three plates, which represent the buttons.
these three plates, when touch increases the capacitance of
each button. these plates can be touched simultaneously but
with varying capacitances. to know which of the three was
really touched, i need to check the capacitances of each button.

can anyone point me to the right algorithm to implement this
sofware side (e.g. microcontroller programs). Im thinking of
centroid calculation. but im not sure if it is the best algorithm
available. im reading the change in capacitance as change in
frequency count.

thank you.
