GSM module choice with sim card slot

Please, i want to add sms facility to my design. which GSM module that comes with simcard holder and interface suitable for DIP connection.and easy to communicate with microcontroller.
I will appreciate advice on make and model number. thanks.

You're apparently referring to a SocketModem form factor which mostly comes with integrated SIM PlugIn option. It exposes an industry standard pinout, almost interchangeable between GSM, analog POTS, ISDN and other modems. There's is large number of vendors, just google for it..
