Hello everyone,

Im trying to built a code in C using HI-TECH C in MPLAB but when I do I get the following error:

No valid installed HI-TECH compiler drivers

Im I missing sth? I changed the default directory from :
C:\Program Files (x86)\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.80\bin\picc.exe
to :
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microchip\HCPIC-pro-9.80.exe

but it still don't work. Is there an installation guide for this compiler cause I only have the User's guide.

Thanks in advance
Panos

have you installed the HI-TECH plugin for MPLAB?

It can be found under, C:\Programme\HI-TECH Software\MPLAB Plugin

Actually I found my mistake. I had installed only the HI-TECH version for the PIC 10/12/16 MCUs and I wanted to work with a PIC18F model. I installed the appropriate version of the compiler and know it works.:-D
Thanks for the reply and sorry for wasting you time.
