I am looking forward the answer of the question upstairs. what is the LinMOS?

It is proprietary of Texas Instruments. They say it offers extremely high input impedance and low input bias and offset currents. They say a lot of features associated with bipolar technology are available with LinCMOS operational amplifiers without the power penalties of traditional bipolar devices.

So far I am pleased with performance of their opamps.

why can a bipolar give you higher precision than a MOSFET ?

bipolar need more time to fab.

how does that affect precision ?

I think CMOS tapeout(around 1-2 month) is faster than bipolaris (more than 3 months?) but CMOS is less reliable than bipolar. I don't know much about the technology, I guess something about the quasi-static stuff in the channel?

how does that affect precision ?

Transconductance of bipoar is larger than mos device

u can have a look at the following doc......may be help ful.....
