Hi,

I have to design a Li-Ion battery charger circuit based on PWM buck converter. I am familiar with working principle of a PWM buck converter. However, I am not sure how the Constant-Current-Constant-Voltage (CCCV) charging algorithm can be realized in the PWM buck converter.

It will be a great help if anybody can point me to some good design paper or textbook material where the mixing of CCCV algorithm and PWM operation is discussed.

Thnx,
Sam.

Hi,

why don't you use a dedicated charger IC.

Hi,

It is basically a part of a larger system which itself is a custom IC. So, I need to design a full-custom charger circuit for the given specification.

Thnx
Sam
