I think they dont know since the engineering is outsourced to HK/Chinese chop-shops. So the real question is what do they use? Who knows, different shops pick different platforms probably based on who they can hire and their level of expertise in one product or another
In my long years of Linksys hacking I have seen schematics (not PCB layouts) and only judging by the font and frames I would say Linksys uses Altium but then there is no telling if that schematic was used to mass-produce the product. In short, I dont think the company really knows the answer untill you dig deep into the blue-collar nuts and bolts of production
Not all. I think the job we did for Sony and Mitsubishi did indeed use Zuken, but Kyocera, HP Compact, etc I know uses Allegro along with many other company. Zuken seems to be used only selected major Japanese companies.
