is that what he meant? LOL. well yes of course you wrap a wire around the pin, and solder it. the pins are designed to stand far enough away from the housing so that the housing is not a big heat sink for the soldering operation.
For short term measurements, you can clip on "J Hook" type wires. Just be careful, the one for the DC voltage is pretty fragile and can easily be broken off. the ground pin is much more rugged
