i am trying to interface fingerprint module R30x with 8051. first i am trying to interface with PC.
but it is not showing any thing on my hyper terminal. even i can not write any thing on my hyper terminal (after connecting fingerprint module R30x).

i have tested on 9600-115200 bps)

i am interfacing my fingerprint module R30x with PC through MAX 232 ic.

check your hyper terminal by feed back testing (connect rx and tx). check the max 232 IC and the polarities of the capacitors used as charge pumps. if its not working, do the level shifting by using small signal transistors.
 

my rs 232 is working. plz help me out from this problem.
 

Pls try with 57600 BAUD Rate. This is the default Baud rate for R30X. If you are successful please let me know.
 

No dude doesnt work with 57600....
Akhthar ..can it be interfaced with the Hyperterminal......?
 

You cannot interface R30x using Hyperterminal as you won't be able to send HEX commands using Hyperterminal. Try some other serial terminal s/w which allows you to send HEX values.
