I have worked with a PCB maker company for many years.during these years I have sent my files with Protel99 format (PCB files not Gerber files) without any problems.
lately I have begun to use Allegro PCB design for drawing my PCBs, but my PCB maker company told me "you should send your files in protel99 format".
please tell me, what's the best and exact way to convert Allegro PCB design format (.brd file) to protel99 format(.pcb format) without having any distortion and inelegance.
thanks in advance

PCB manufacturers are basically working with gerber data. Some are supporting common layout formats for user convenience, e.g. Protel/Altium or Eagle. If your layout format isn't supported by the manufacturer, extended geber (274-X) would be first choice, I think. Recent Altium Designer Versions also have an option to import Allegro designs, but I can't imagine it as a reasonable method to generate postprocess only.

In your point of view I must first convert my Allegro design file to Altium format then convert it to protel99?
there is not any direct conversion solution?
