can I see the internal signal in the waveform viewer of ISE.
 

in xilinx ISE

After synthesis of our program, ISE will give the required hardware as per your program. So if you double click on the top level block then it will show you the internal hardware of that block with its signal names which you have used in your program. In this way you can go up to basic building blocks.

Is that what you want?

Yes,you can see the internal signals in the waveform viewer.
However,variables are not visible.
