At the moment there are only 2 published books dedicated
exclusively for the analysis of the dielectric resonator antennas
(1st from Luk, 2nd from Petosa).
The easiest approach into the understanding of their operation
is to study dielectric resonators first, and then move into the
concept in using them as antennas. Also knowledge of dielectric
waveguide theory and electromagnetic modes helps a lot.
These type of antennas is still something new and under development,
although this topic is more than 20years old.
I am wondering when the first wireless product, based on DRA, will be
introduced into the market... a challenge that still remains
unsatisfied as far as DRA technology is concerned...
