How is matching done using smith chart ?

Hi,
I have basic understanding of how a smith chart works and I have used it to match circuits as well ( single stub matching method ) is what was commonly taught and I understand it pretty well. but I have no idea how they have approached the matching using smith chart in this research paper to find the values of Cs_m1 and Cs_m2 - https://www.mdpi.com/2079-9292/10/10/1159. [pg-8].
