Wirless embedded network

I want to make a network of multi embedded board using wirless communication , those boards will communicate with a base station that connected serially to the PC , all what i want is to know an RF tranciever IC that can make this .
This network should connect those station for at least 20 meter spacing

You can do this easily with an access point connected to your pc and with wireless ethernet cards in the number of as you need. This works 2.4 Ghz.

you are not communiction Eng so if you want to build the unit it consist from 2 parts first one is you embedded system and other one is communiction unit

you don't have to build communiction unit from scratch just and PCI card or PCmica card and see the I/o of it and use it
