[SOLVED] Wiring 3.5 mm stereo headphone mountable jack socket

I am held up in wiring 3.5 mm stereo headphone mountable jack socket to a radio.. which i purchased recently.. which doesn't have headphone socket....what i want to do is... cut off the sound from the loud speaker as soon as i connect my headphones....

Buy Jack Connectors Enclosed chassis mount jack socket,3.5mm RS O70-00055 online from RS for next day delivery.

I have a socket which is shown in the above link

The link is to a mono headphone socket. You need one with 5 pins (connections) to it.

I drew two schematics ,
how to connect speakers and headphone plug

Use only one gnd-point for headphones,
in bridge amp. , find amplifiers real gnd point of power supply
( do not use speaker wire as gnd, it can kill your amp. stage )

Some amplifier needs 1W 100...220 ohm load resistor parallel to speaker
