one km wireless lan

Hi Friends,

One of my friend have Broad band internet connection and He is willing to share it with me. Unfortunately my home is almost one KM away from him. How can I Do a LAN in this range? Is it possible with LINKSYS WAP11? I think LINKSYS have an out door range of only 450 meters. If I do construct two directional antennas and Isntall with two LINKSYS WAP11, is it possible to communicate with average speed?
If so any of you can help me to construct an antenna for ISM BAND. Or is there any other easy ways to LINK Both PC's ? Please help me.

Hi, Is possible. Use proper directional antenna's of + 10dBi gain on both sides and try a clear visible link. so put your antenna's high !!. have a look at www.diswire.com they sell stuff for 20Km !!!!!

Paul.
