Hello, I would like to build a small-sized preamplifier for a scanner.
The scanner receives from 100KHz to 1300MHz AM/FM/FMW/SSB/CW.
The requirements for the preamplifier are:

1. relatively low noise
2. small-sized
3. wideband, covering the above mentioned frequencies.
4. high gain
5. high dynamic range, to avoid overloading from out of band signals.
6. if possible, powered by one AAA battery (through an inverter, I assume)

I know that these are not exactly specs, but you get an idea of what I am looking for.

It is difficult, but have you got any IC or discrete designs to propose?
I suppose IC would be much easier, if low noise and high dynamic range specs are good enough.
