Why use DC path to ground

Hi there
I am using hspice to mimic a balun. what i did is below
E1 vp vc TRANSFORMER vd 0 2
E2 vc vn TRANSFORMER vd 0 2
where vd est the single input, vp vn are the positive and negative output, vc is the common mode voltage.
When simulating , i get "there is no dc-path to ground from node vc"
Why do I have to add a DC path to this node? how can i overcome this?? thanks.

Maybe you should add a R from vc to gnd.
Like this:
R1 vc 0 0

then SPICE can use this initial condition to calculate circuit.
 

Add a dummy resistor between node Vc and Ground , The value of this resistor should be very large in order not to affect your circuit (for example 100meg) .
