why some foundries need a sealring but some not
 

sealring question

Whitch foundry did not need seal ring? Did you really tapeout in this foundry that they donn't nee seal ring(tapeout form not write need foundry add seal ring).
I know some foundry can help customer add seal ring when customer to requirement.

sealring is a necessary step in your chip, sometimes fab can add this for you.When you know the function of sealring, I should have the answer.
